Win a FREE NLT Mosaic!
Posted by BryanOct 20
So, I’ve always wanted to do a give-away on my blog, but have never been able to do so. That is, until now. I am giving away a free copy of the The Holy Bible: Mosaic, thanks to the good people at Tyndale House Publishers. How do you get your copy? Well, it’s easy:
All you have to do is comment on this post, giving a reason for why I want to get the Mosaic. It doesn’t have to be why you “need” it, although that’s fine too. I really want to hear why you want. Commenting will get your name put into a drawing using super-secret, state of the art processes for determining a winner.1 Of course, include an email (you have to anyways) so I can get in touch with you for mailing details if you win.
Bonus! Those of you who want can get your name put in a second time simply by tweeting the following:
@bryanlilly is offering a chance to win a free NLT Mosaic! Check out his blog for more details: http://bit.ly/3xZJPK
You must include the @bryanlilly, so that I can see the tweets in my replies and give you credit for it. That’s it!
The winner will be drawn and announced this following Monday, sometime after 2:30pm (i.e. after class and work).

Cool. I would like the Mosaic because I have heard a number of good things about it across the blogs and I would like to see if it is actually helpful in devotional reading.

I’m not overly enamored with the NLT but this guy I know will go on and on about it. So I’d like to have one so I can keep in touch with the Brian Lilly’s of the world. Also, http://www.random.org is a nice hat from which to draw numbers.

I want it so I can think about possibly using it as a guide for preaching through the Christian year (I’ve never done this (except for advent) – I think it would be a great learning experience! Other than that, I just want it!

Christian,
I just realized that you were my 600th comment. Congrats!
No, that doesn’t improve your chances

I want it because readings organized by lectionary would be really convenient and helpful! It’s on my Amazon wishlist.

I want it because I’ve enjoyed the NLT more in the past few years and it seems like it has good material to read with Scripture. It would be a good opportunity to get started with the NLT.

I want the Mosaic Bible so I can show Jamie Barnes where Philippians 2 is.

I don’t have a NLT. My home church uses the NLT as the pulpit Bible and their young adult’s fellowship is called Mosaic. Getting one of these will bring back some interesting memories

I want the Mosaic Bible because it would make my fiance a very happy man to receive such a gift. And I love him.

Just to clarify…it would make my fiance an EXTREMELY happy man to receive such a gift. As in, I would win major brownie points for an eternity. I know, I know…”selfish”, you’re thinking. I say, “selfish? Or very smart? Definitely smart.”

Katie… Brad hi-jacked your name to comment didn’t he? You need to work that out in PMC

So Bryan, while I resent the fact that you think I hi-jacked Katie’s name, I still want the Mosaic. Why? Because it’s awesome! I’ve seen it in action and think it’s an amazing tool in learning the liturgical calendar alongside biblical studies. I’m a HUGE nerd for the liturgy, and I want to try to formulate a new type of liturgy in whatever church I serve, and I think this could help in what I’m trying to do.
I should also win this, because I’m a closet Anglican… and we (closet) Anglicans love some liturgy.

I’d like a copy of the Bible because I have always loved illuminated manuscripts, and this includes that kind of thing. I also love the meditation-like element, which is something I’m looking for in a Bible. I particularly appreciate that it includes elements from multiple traditions, perspectives, and times. It seems like the Mosaic Bible would do an excellent job creating dialogue, which is so necessary for spirituality and delving deeper into the Bible.
