advent

Well, my Advent series, Horror and Hope, is finished! To celebrate the end of Advent and the beginning of the Christmas season (no, it doesn’t begin with black friday), I have decided to release the series as a free ebook.

Since some of you have been reading through the series as each story was posted, there are a few new goodies in the eBook for you. First, it starts with a brand new prologue, discussing the purpose of the series and digging more into the themes of horror and hope. Second, I’ve included the story on the fall of Jerusalem that was supposed to be published on Sunday, December 16th. Third, I’ve rewritten the article I did post on the 16th, Advent, Horror, and Newtown, Connecticut, and put it as an epilogue to the book. Fourth, each of the four stories have been edited (some a lot, some minimally).

I’ve published the eBook in four formats: pdf, mobi, azw3 (kindle), and epub. That way, everyone should be covered. It’s my first attempt at making an eBook. The pdf will have the format more like I want it, but the other three will be better for your ereader of choice.

Check it out by clicking here and going to my new dedicated ebook page, and let me know what you think!

Hey, Bryan! Thanks for making this available in ebook formats. I look forward to using it with my family in the future.

On that note, I haven’t had success downloading the Kindle file. Any ideas?

      Thanks!

Hey Bill–thanks for letting me know. I have the links pointing to the right place, but still coming up with a 404 error when I click them. Same trouble you’re having?

I’m not sure what the problem is–perhaps it’s a permissions issue. When I am able to, I’ll rehost the files on publicly on dropbox until I can sort it out :)

Yep, the 404. I was able to pull the pdf though.

Ok, files should be hosted through dropbox now–worked for me. Let me know if it works now, or if you’re still having trouble!
