Welcome to The Ordinary Christian, articles and essays related to spiritual formation. The foundation for this site is the belief that formation into the image of Christ does not come primarily by being on the mountain top, nor trudging through the valley, but in the every-day journey between them. Thus, these essays serve to demystify spiritual formation, meditate on how God meets us in the day-to-day, and celebrate what it means to be ordinary.
After all, there is no calling outside of the call to be who we are, where we are, with the church that is. Out of such ordinary faithfulness, God creates and moves extraordinarily.
